DAY 01 ARRIVE DELHI
Arriving Delhi - The capital of India. Meet and Greet at the
Airport. Transfer to Hotel for check in. Break fast at the hotel.
Afternoon take a city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi visiting
Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President
House, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat. Evening witness "Sound
& Light" show at Red Fort to get a glimpse of the History of
the Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02 DELHI / RISHIKESH
After breakfast, check out and drive to Rishikesh. The calm,
serene surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere have led many
a saint and godman to set up ashrams along the holy Ganga. Sage
Raibhya Rishi did a pen- ance to please God who appeared as
Hrishikesh. That was how the holy town of Rishikesh, situated
on the banks of Ganga, got its name. On arrival, check in and
overnight at hotel.
DAY 03 RISHIKESH
After breakfast, visit Lakshmanjula, Mansa Devi, etc. Evening
free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 RISHIKESH / BARKOT
After breakfast, check out and drive to Barkot. On arrival check
in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 BARKOT / YAMUNOTRI / BARKOT
Early morning, drive down to Hanumanchatti and take a trek to
Yamonotri, a famous piligrimage center of Hindus. As per Hindu
mythology Yamunotri was the home of saint Agastha Muni dedicated
to The Goddess Yamuna. This is the origin point of river Yamuna.
After 'Darshan' trek down to Hanumanchatti. On arrival drive
down to Barkot. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 BARKOT / HARSIL
After breakfast, check out and drive to Harsil, famous for its
natural beauty and delicious apples. On arrival, check in and
overnight at Camp Cottages.
DAY 07 HARSIL / GANGOTRI / HARSIL
After breakfast, drive down to Gangotri. This hinterland is
the most sacred in the Himalayas. According to Hindu mythology,
Goddess Ganga, the daughter of Heaven, manifested herself in
the form of a river to absolve the sins of King Bhagirath's
predecessors after centuries of penance. Afternoon visit Gaumukh,
the source of river Ganga. Evening drive back to Harsil. Overnight
at Camp Cottages.
DAY 08 HARSIL / SRINAGAR
After breakfast, check out and drive to Srinagar. On arrival,
check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 09 SRINAGAR / GUPTKASHI
After breakfast, check out and drive to Guptkashi. This place
has a great importance. The Vishwanath Temple and Manikaran
Kund, where the two streams of Ganga and Yamuna meet, are the
main places of attraction in Guptkashi. On arrival, check in
and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10 GUPTKASHI / KEDARNATH / GUPTKASHI
Early morning, trek to Kedarnath. This is the origin of river
Mandakini and has one of the Jyotirling of Lord Shiva. The present
temple at Kedarnath is built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya. After
'Darshan' trek down to Guptkashi. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 11 GUPTKASHI / JOSHIMATH
After breakfast, check out and drive to Joshimath, one of the
famous maths or monasteries. On arrival, check in and overnight
at the hotel.
DAY 12 JOSHIMATH / BADRINATH / JOSHIMATH
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Between the twin ranges
of Nar and Narayan lies this holi shrine. It is on the left
bank of river Alakhnanda. From this place the famous Neelkanth
mountain ranges are clearly seen. Evening drive back to Joshimath.
Overnight at hotel.
DAY 13 JOSHIMATH / HARIDWAR
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Haridwar, called
by many names ranging from Kapilasthan and Gangadwar to Tapovan
and is probably the holiest of cities which stand on the banks
of the sacred Ganga river. It is at this point that the Ganga
emerges from the Himalayas into the northern plains. On arrival,
check in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 14 HARIDWAR / DELHI
After breakfast, check out and visit Har-ki Pauri and bharat
mata mandir. Afternoon proceed for Delhi. On arrival, check
in and overnight at hotel.
DAY 15 DELHI
After Breakfast check out from the Hotel. Day for shopping and
visiting Lotus temple etc. and transfer to International Airport
for onward destination.
