DAY 01 ARRIVE DELHI
Arriving Delhi - The capital of India. Meet and Greet at the
Airport. Transfer to Hotel for check in. Break fast at the hotel.
Afternoon take a city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi visiting
Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President
House, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat. Evening witness "Sound
& Light" show at Red Fort to get a glimpse of the History of
the Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02 DELHI / JAIPUR
Early morning, check out from the Hotel and transfer to Old
Delhi Railway Station to board the train for Jaipur. Jaipur
is India's first planned city and a brilliant architect Vidyadhar
Bhattacharya from Bengal was commissioned to plan the city.
He designed it in accordance with ancient Hindu treatise on
architecture, the Shilpa Shastra (Vaastu). Breakfast on board.
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check in. Afternoon visit
the Amber Fort, ascend the fort on elephant back. Evening free
and overnight at hotel.
DAY 03 JAIPUR / JODHPUR
After early breakfast, check out from the hotel and take a city
tour of Jaipur covering Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Royal Observatory
& Bazaar, etc. Late evening transfer to Railway Station to board
the train for Jodhpur, the kingdom of the Rathore kings. Jodhpur's
houses and temples, palaces and havelis still retain and preserve
the age-old traditions and are protected from the desert by
a massive 10 km long wall. A picturesque road winds up through
various gates and walls. Overnight on board.
DAY 04 JODHPUR
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Breakfast at Hotel. Afternoon
take a half-day city tour. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 JODHPUR / JAISALMER
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and take an excursion
to the Jain temples of Osian . Evening free for shopping and
in time transfer to Jodhpur Railway Station to board the train
for Jaisalmer. . Jaisalmer is said to owe its origin in a prophecy
by Lord Krishna. The whole place is festooned with forts, palaces
and temples. The beauty is etched in yellow sandstone lending
it a golden aura. Overnight on board.
DAY 06 JAISALMER
Upon arrival, direct transfer to Sand dunes where you will enjoy
the night on camp. Breakfast on the way at local restaurant.
En-route visit Amar Sagar,the Jain temples of Lodhruva. Upon
arrival, check in at good A/C camps. Evening evening enjoy the
cultural programs and traditional dinner on the dunes. Overnight
at Camp.
DAY 07 JAISALMER / JODHPUR
After early breakfast, take a camel safai. Afternoon check out
and take a city tour of Jaisalmer. Evening transfer to Jaisalmer
Railway Station to board the train for Jodhpur. Overnight on
board.
DAY 08 JODHPUR / RAWLA NARLAI
Upon arrival, transfer to a hotel for wash and change followed
by breakfast and drive to Rawla Narlai, a royal hunting retreat
between Jodhpur and Udaipur is an enchanting new destination
with a beautiful lake. Day free for leisure. In the evening
bathe in the moonlight under the starry sky, listening to the
hypnotic chanting and singing by local musicians. Overnight
at hotel.
DAY 09 RAWLA NARLAI / PUSHKAR / AJMER
After breakfast, check out and drive down to Ajmer, a major
center of Muslim pilgrims. It has some superb examples of early
Muslim architecture. En-route visit Pushkar , a town clings
to the side of small and beautiful Pushkar Lake with its many
bathing Ghats and Temples. Pushkar is also famous for huge camel
and cattle fair, which takes place in October or November. Upon
arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure and
overnight at Hotel.
DAY 10 AJMER / AGRA
After breakfast, morning free. Check out at noon and transfer
to Ajmer Railway Station to board the train for Agra. The city
of Agra is famous world over for the Taj Mahal. Millions of
tourists from all over the world come here every year to savor
the different moods of this magnificent edifice. It also has
a number of historical monuments in and around the city, dating
back to the 16th and 17th century. Upon arrival, transfer to
Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 11 AGRA
After breakfast, take a half-day city tour. Afternoon visit
Agra Fort and enjoy the sunset at the beautiful Taj Mahal- the
seventh wonder of the world. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 12 AGRA / DELHI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive down to
Delhi. En-route visit Sikandra, the Emporer Akbar's Mausoleum,
Brindavan and Mathura. Upon arrival, check in at the Hotel.
Evening free for leisure and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 13 DELHI
After late breakfast, check out from the Hotel. Day for shopping
and visiting Lotus temple, Delhi Haat, etc. and transfer to
International Airport for onward destination.
