DAY 01 ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival transfer to hotel. Check-in at hotel. Rest of the
day free to relax and unwind. Overnight at hotel.
DAY
02 DELHI / ALLAHABAD ( PRAYAG )
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a full day combined city
tour of Old and New Delhi visiting historical Red Fort, Jama
Masjid - India's largest mosque, Raj Gaht - The cremation point
of father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, India Gate, President House,
Birla Temple - The place of Gods, Qutub Minar - The victory
tower, Lotus Temple - Bahai's worship center, Humayun's Tomb
etc. Evening transfer to Railway Station to board the train
to Allahabad, formerly known as Prayag is famous for 'sangam'-
the meeting point of two important rivers, i.e. Ganga and Yamuna.
Sangam is believed to have great soul-cleansing powers and is
major pilrimage sites. Overnight on board.
DAY
03 ALLAHABAD
On arrival, breakfast at local restaurant and transfer to hotel
and check in.. Afternoon, visit Sangam, Fort, Anandbhavan, etc.
Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 ALLAHABAD / VARANASI
After breakfast, check out drive to Varanasi, one of the most
ancient living cities in India. From time immemorial it has
been a great religious center for Hindus and one of their most
sacred places of pilgrimage, being visited by millions of people
every year. On arrival, check in at hotel. After noon visit
Sarnath, a famous Budhist pilgrim where Lord Budhdha gave his
first sermon to his disciples. Evening free and overnight at
hotel.
DAY
05 VARANASI
Early morning take a boat ride on river Ganges, visit the holi
Ghats, the famous Vishwanath Temple. Breakfast at local restaurant.
Afternoon visit Birla Temple, Banaras Hindu University, Durga
Mandir, Sankat Mochan Temple, Bharat Mata Mandir, etc. Overnight
at hotel.
DAY 06 VARANASI / HARIDWAR
After early breakfast, check out and transfer to Railway Station
to board the train to Haridwar - called by many names ranging
from Kapilasthan and Gangadwar to Tapovan and is probably the
holiest of cities which stand on the banks of the sacred Ganga
river. It is at this point that the Ganga emerges from the Himalayas
into the northern plains. Overnight on board.
DAY
07 HARIDWAR
On arrival, transfer to hotel and check in. After breakfast,
take a half day city tour of Haridwar visiting Har-KI-Pauri,
Bharat Mata Mandir, etc. Overnight at hotel.
DAY
08 HARIDWAR / RISHIKESH / HARIDWAR
After breakfast, take an excursion of Rishikesh and visit Lakshman
Jhula, Mansa Devi, etc. The calm, serene surroundings and a
peaceful atmosphere of Rishikesh have led many a saint and godman
to set up ashrams along the holy Ganga. Sage Raibhya Rishi did
a pen- ance to please God who appeared as Hrishikesh. That was
how the holy town of Rishikesh, situated on the banks of Ganga,
got its name. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 09 HARIDWAR / DELHI
After breakfast, morning free. Afternoon check out and transfer
to Railway Station to board the train to Delhi. On arrival,
transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight at hotel.
DAY
10 DELHI
After Breakfast check out from the Hotel. Day for shopping and
visiting Lotus temple etc. and transfer to International Airport
for onward destination.
