DAY 01 ARRIVE DELHI
Arriving Delhi - The capital of India. Meet and Greet at the
Airport. Transfer to Hotel for check in. Break fast at the hotel.
Afternoon take a city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi visiting
Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President
House, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat. Evening witness "Sound
& Light" show at Red Fort to get a glimpse of the History of
the Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02 DELHI / VRINDAVAB / MATHURA / AGRA
After breakfast, check out and drive to Vrindavan, place where
Lord Krishna indulged in his adolescent pranks- flirting with
his Gopis in the forests and stealing their clothes while they
were bathing in the river. Afternoon proceed to Mathura, popularly
known as Brij Bhoomi, is a famous piligrimage place for Hindus.
Krishna, the popular incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is believed
to have been born in Mathura and the area is closely linked
with many episodes in his early life. Evening further proceed
to Agra - the city of Taj Mahal. On arrival, check in and overnight
at hotel
DAY 03 AGRA
After breakfast, take a city tour visiting Itimad-ud-daulah,
Agra Fort and the world famous Taj Mahal. At the sunset Taj
is said to be the most beautiful site to watch. Evening free
and overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 AGRA / ORCHHA
Early morning check out and transfer to Agra Railway Station
to board the train to Jhansi. Breakfast on board. On arrival,
drive to Orchha.Once the capital of the Bundelas, Orchha is
now just a village set amidst a complex of well-preserved temples
and palaces. It was built by Bir Singh Deo in 1531. On arrival,
check in at hotel. Afternoon take a half day city tour visiting
Ram Raja Temple with its lofty spires and Chaturbhuj temple.
Jehangir mahal - the largest of the palaces, Raj mahal with
its murals and the Raj Praveen mahal built near a garden and
Dinman Hardaul`s palace. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 ORCHHA / KHAJURAHO
After breakfast, check out and drive to Khajuraho, once the
capital of the Chandela kingdom, famous for temples built in
Indo Aryan Architecture. On arrival, check in at the hotel.
Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 KHAJURAHO
After breakfast, take a tour of full day sight seeing of famous
temples visiting Lakhshmana Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu,
the lakshmi and Varaha temples dedicated to Vishnu's consort
lakshmi, the Khandariya mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva
and the Chausath Yogini temple dedicated to goddess Kali and
the Jain temples of Parsvnath, Adinath, Shanti nath. Visit the
Archaeological museum with its collection of stone sculptures
of the Chandela dynasty and the Hindu temples of Vamana and
Brahma/Hanuman both dedicated to lord Vishnu. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07 KHAJURAHO / VARANASI
After breakfast check out from Hotel and transfer to Airport
to connect flight to Varanasi, India's oldest inhabited city
known as the city of Temples and Ghats and of course the lifeline
of India, the River Ganges. On arrival check in at Hotel. Evening
free and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08 VARANASI
After breakfast, take a half day tour visiting Benaras Hindu
University, Birla Temple, Durga Temple, Bharat Mata mandir,
etc. Evening enjoy the cultural show and dinner on Bazra (a
small house boat) river ganges. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 09 VARANASI ( SARNATH )
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges to see the beautiful
sunrise at Ganges.After the boat ride see the holi ghats & temples.
Afternoon visit Sarnath, a famous Budhist pilgrim where
Lord Budhdha gave his first sermon to his disciples. Evening
free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 10 VARANASI / HARIDWAR
After early breakfast, check out and transfer to Railway Station
to board the train to Haridwar - called by many names ranging
from Kapilasthan and Gangadwar to Tapovan and is probably the
holiest of cities which stand on the banks of the sacred Ganga
river. It is at this point that the Ganga emerges from the Himalayas
into the northern plains. Overnight on board.
DAY 11 HARIDWAR
On arrival, transfer to hotel and check in. After breakfast,
take a half day city tour of Haridwar visiting Har-KI-Pauri,
Bharat Mata Mandir, etc. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 12 HARIDWAR / RISHIKESH / HARIDWAR
After breakfast, take an excursion of Rishikesh and visit Lakshman
Jhula, Mansa Devi, etc. The calm, serene surroundings and a
peaceful atmosphere of Rishikesh have led many a saint and godman
to set up ashrams along the holy Ganga. Sage Raibhya Rishi did
a pen- ance to please God who appeared as Hrishikesh. That was
how the holy town of Rishikesh, situated on the banks of Ganga,
got its name. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 13 HARIDWAR / DELHI
After breakfast, morning free. Afternoon check out and transfer
to Railway Station to board the train to Delhi. On arrival,
transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 14 DELHI
After Breakfast check out from the Hotel. Day for shopping and
visiting Lotus temple etc. and transfer to International Airport
for onward destination.
