DAY 01 ARRIVE DELHI
Arriving Delhi - The capital of India. Meet and Greet at the
Airport. Transfer to Hotel for check in. Break fast at the hotel.
Afternoon take a city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi visiting
Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, President
House, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat. Evening witness "Sound
& Light" show at Red Fort to get a glimpse of the History of
the Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02 DELHI / CHENNAI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Domestic
Airport to board the Flight for Chennai, formerly known as Madras
is the capital city of Tamil Nadu state and is the fourth largest
metro city in India. Chennai offers a variety of sights by way
of its lovely beaches - the Marina Beach and Elliot's Beach
among the popular ones. Upon arrival transfer to hotel and check
in. Day free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 03 CHENNAI / MAHABALIPURAM / CHENNAI
After breakfast, take a full day tour of Mahabalipuram. The
city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here
on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn
temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
Evening free and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 CHENNAI / KANCHIPURAM / CHENNAI
After breakfast, full Day tour of Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is
the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000
Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated
to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings
on the walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi
and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous
for its silks. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 CHENNAI
After breakfast, take a half day city tour. Afternoon enjoy
the beach. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 CHENNAI / TRICHY
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Chennai Railway Station
to board the train to Trichy, famous for Rock Fort Temple and
other monuments. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check in.
Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07 TRICHY / THANJAVORE / TRICHY
After breakfast, take an excursion to Thanjavore. The city is
famous for Silk. Afternoon visit Rock Fort Temple and other
places in Trichy.. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 08 TRICHY / MADURAI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive down to
Madurai, city famous for temples. Upon arrival, check in at
hotel. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
DAY 09 MADURAI
After breakfast, visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated
to the consort of Lord Shiva. Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak
Palace - A gracious building in the Indo-saracenic style, famous
for the Stucco work on its domes & arches. Further you can visit
the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Evening free
and overnight at hotel.
DAY 10 MADURAI / KANYAKUMARI
Early morning check out and transfer to Railway Station to board
the train to Kanyakumari. The land's end of India, where the
three seas -- the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian
Ocean --- merge to form the quiet idyllic spot of Cape Comorin
or Kanyakumari. Legend gives it the name of Kanyakumari, meaning
the Virgin Goddess, and dedicated to her is a temple washed
by the restless seas. On arrival, transfer to hotel and check
in. Afternoon visit Kanyakumari Amman Temple, Gandhi Memorial,
Vivekananda Memorial, etc. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 11 KANYAKUMARI / TRIVANDRUM / DELHI
After breakfast, check out and drive to Trivandrum Airport to
board the flight to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to hotel and
check in. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 12 DELHI
After Breakfast check out from the Hotel. Day for shopping and
visiting Lotus temple etc. and transfer to International Airport
for onward destination.
